Write Now! - Science Writing Program
Deadline: November 12th, 2010
Overview
Write Now! encourages article submissions by highly qualified personnel (HQP) to PrioNet Canada’s quarterly newsletter, PrioNews. Articles can feature research projects, training experiences, or current events related to the prion and allied sciences that would be of interest to PrioNet and its network.
Purpose This program helps develop the scientific writing skills of HQP by engaging them in the journalistic writing process. A key aspect to this process is taking scientific content and transforming it into a story for a general audience, but with enough substance to provide valuable scientific information for the newsletter’s academic readers. Successful applicants will be provided with writing mentorship in partnership with PrioNet’s Administrative Centre.
